João Gilberto is the godfather and master deliver of bossa nova. His 1959 debut album Chega de Saudade is considered the launch point for the Brazilian percussion-melodic samba genre.Gilberto does not use his guitar for bringing Zeus like power. He uses it in an angelic soft bop to the already beautiful vacation music. This music should be going through Hugh Hefner and James Bond's minds at all time.
